This is a great movie that someone on this board alerted me to (thanks again).

In it, it shows where Europeans are going to the bank to cash in dollars for Euros and they are turned away because the exchange rate is falling so fast and can't be relied upon from minute to minute. In the end, a girl pays for a taxi cab ride with three packs of cigarettes.
Wall street journal reported yesterday that this VERY THING IN HAPPENING NOW, but not in europe, but in Vietnam. Banks are no longer exchanging vietnamese currency for dollars! That's how fast the dollar is falling relative to the vietnamese currency.
This may be a further reason that the dollar is being propped up today.
