Have you stopped to consider that Mr. Harvey's statement or warning question was to ask if you are short or going short on the stock or going long. That statement can be construed as a dire warning NOT to short. Perhaps there is a trap for the shorts!

As I recall he asked you this question twice. Why would he do that?

He is warning you not to play it short because you might get caught!
