Interesting thought. It is said that when the Spanish came to Mexico that the Aztecs took their majority of the gold and riches and trekked north to hide it. That trek took over 2 years. If you think of what the Spaniards took and that the MAJORITY was hidden....WOW. Some say it is in the mountains of California/Nevada....but maybe, just maybe...they met some northern cousins who led them to some nice lake country for a little fishing and R & R where they decided to bury it..........
