Have yo never been to an auction where the autioneer runs the price up. I have and out of fear of losing out I bid higher, if you want the damn thing you buy it. In reverse if you are a seller and you have a buyer on the hook you do whatever to make the deal happen. It's life and sometimes you have shyster and sometimes you have a good ole boy to deal with. It's part of the GAME.
