Message: How would you rate the grades for Cu and Ni ?
Grades for economical mines vary based on several major factors but for exploration situations the most important considerations is if it is open pit (surface) vs Underground (block). Many surface Cu mines (all else being equal) can possibly operate at grades as low as 0.4% Cu per tonne. Underground is much more expensive (in general) amd maybe can operate as low or possibly even lower than 1-2% where Tonnage is large enough (both in terms of daily production and in terms of Ore reserves. All else remaining the same Ni is ~4 X the value of Cu and thus a very rough manner of calculating suggests grades can be up to 1/4 those of Cu in the exact same environment. However, in any situation other considerations change feasibility considerably. Location, existing infrastructure, Government royalty rates, cost of start up and years of operation expected are but a few of the first considerations. What we have in Eagle 1 is likely to be one of the lowest if not the lowest mines anywhere! Location is rather good and grades per tonne (overall metal count)are very very good. Location is in comparison to most existing big mines with anything even closely similar to what we have. Grades of each metal are very good in their right and when combined make Eagle 1 likely the best (richest) of any anywhere. At a preliminary tonnage (which will only grow in size as it is explored/drilled up more) we have between 6-7Mt or ore of very high overall metals grade. There is very likely more high grade in the Eagle 1 and much more lower (mineable) grade to add onto the very high grade. Old Joe PS: Some of the wheeler dealers and want to be SP manipulators get on with all kinds of nonsense with regard to these items/issues as a way of scaring less informed investors and getting bigger and more frequent fluctuations in the SP so as to buy sell buy sell etc.. They make their living doing this. Just go to the Mc Fauld's Forum and you will hear all sorts of BS "In ALL Honesty" crap big time.
