June and Johnny can go as far as 1000 meters and at two shifts a day that would take 20 days to drill! So yes it could be, awfully expensive and you can bet they wouldn't continue drilling that deep unless they where hitting mineralization.

There probably is a way to drop instrumentation down the drill hole to take measurements and detect what might be found further down. If Noront has been drilling 500 to 1000 meter holes you can bet there is one awful length of mineralization or they wouldn't be doing it. Hard to believe there wouldn't be some leak if that was the case.

With what Noront has been finding in the majority of drill holes everyone that follows them is terrified of selling since the next day another blockbuster annnouncement could be put out. No way they'd wait for Nemis to return, they'd write the release and get Dick's verbal go ahead.
