I appreciate the link and yeah I buy the relationship with Nemis but it doesn't explain how WSR or most of the jv partners can finance the kind of commitment they've signed up for. They just don't have the money and yes selling shares is the way juniors have always raised money but everybody is telling us that this isn't the easiest market to do that in.
It is difficult for me to see much value brought to Noront by signing jv's with partners without the necessary financial strength to do what they promise to do. Of course they can go sell their shares, drill a few holes and walk away from the jv withing the year but hard to see how that benefits Noront.
If the claims parcelled out to these jv partners have solid value then why not wait and bundle the claims into the buyout deal made with a major mining company. I'm sorry but it seems a weak move for Noront who's trying to establish themselves as one step above other junior exploration companies. My feeling is the market isn't adding one cent to Noront's share price because of these jv's. Of course it's also unlikely to be penalizing Noront for doing them either so why worry, be happy.
