Forgive my very silly question.....

Why are shareholders not permitted to know who ,or which company, has taken a large position in their company?

just as it would be interesting to know who "ANONYMOUS" is, and why they were dumping our stock unmercifully day after day as each new positive news release was issued, and now it seems they have amassed all they want for the moment.

Very important info I think ,and it would be nice to know!
