Not much stainless steel is used in infrastructure such as bridges, reinforcing rod uses mostly zinc compounds, mind you there is going to be an awful pile of zinc found in the 'Ring of Fire'. Major amounts of copper up there and that certainly is an infrastructure material.

You are right on the money when it comes to Nuclear Power plants. I did work a few years ago with company who built the Boilers/Heat Recovery units. Weird engineering, high pressure stuff and expensive materials and fabrication.

Good thing about Nuclear Power Generation is you don't find companies buying the pumps, controls or pipe out of China.
