I have found it very worth while to review some of the data that has been delivered to investors from management, if for any reason, to remind us of the potential opportunity that sits in the ground at McFaulds. A great place to start would be to rewatch the October 30th address with R Nemis and N Novak on the DE update on holes 7 and 9 followed with his Nov 9th video address and all the press releases etc. You can find it on this forum or Noronts web site.
I will also say that the similarities to Noront vs the Big Score (Voiseys bay story) are uncanny to say the least when you place where Noront is in the time line relevent to the Diamonds Fields Voisey Bay discovery. As for value of Noront compared to Diamond Fields, remember that Falconbridge, in a bidding war against Inco offered $144 on a stock that was trading in the low teens not just a few months back. And they were not the successful bidder. What Noront needs now and what we have all been asking along with investment houses etc is the size of the deposit specific to tonnage. If the grades continue to hold the amount of tonnage is less then if the grades are lower.
Will Noront be the next Voisey's bay? I do not know. What I do know is that many investors racked up lottery sized fortunes in a Voisey's deposit that was massive in size with Noront being on the road to defining their own deposit shortly. It is a risk (what isn't a risk these days) and I encourage DD to determine if that risk is acceptable or not. The choice is up to the investor and I am sure there were many who wished they were in the Diamond Fields play and not scared away by the naysayers who could be secretly stealing shares from others. Make no mistake of it, there were many naysayers (aka bashers and alike) that were scaring investors away from Diamond Fields resulting in an undervalued share price early in the game. If an investor is not comfortable in a speculative play it is ok to take a pass. I for one added to my position today going against my own rules not to average down, but feel at $3.62 was worth the risk. Again, nothing is without risk, so be careful and comfortable with whatever your decision is.
