TSX and the "split"

How will graduating to the TSX affect the chances of splitting DE off into it's own company before a buyout?

Will NOT split before and just move the DE portion of the company to the TSX, or will NOT jump up to the TSX intact and then split after?

Would NOT be able to meet all the criteria as two seperate companies on the TSX or not?

Any thoughts or insight is appreciated.
