Not to give the book away, (I mean we know the Voisey story), but you will find that Friedland was not well respected in the financial world and fore sure had some unfavorable past business dealings that huant him. However, do not be fooled as he was very much the promotor and knew how to get what he wanted and pretty much stopped at nothing to get his way. I think you would call that ruthless, but he knew how to put on the charm when needed.
