After my last post I was surprised to be on the receiving end of so much anger and frustration. Then I realized I forgot to actually give my estimated maximum upper value of NOT’s shares which is a cool 165 million US$ per share. Here is how:
One tonne of typical rocks contains 278 kg of silicon. If you process that to solar or semiconductor grade silicon you can sell if for 50 to 100$/kg, so let us use 50$ to be conservative, for a silicon value of 13,900 $/tonne of rock. NOT controls 410 km2, and assuming that they can mine 1 km deep (again to be conservative), NOT owns about 11.5 trillion tonnes of rock. With about 96 million shares outstanding this comes out to 165 million US$ per share. This is conservative since it does not include values of any of the other metals in the rock.
All this you can get from Google so go through on your own. I almost forgot to mention, but do your own DD and consult with a certified professional before you make any investment. Numbers sometimes are deceiving (at best)
