"but do u really think that's a possibility? if so in what timeframe?
Another question that has always bothered me is this, which applies to any stock we own, lets say I/we own 10,000 shares of a stock and we have decided that when it reaches say $100.00 per share we are going to sell, I always wonder if there would be buyers ready to buy at that price, "
Anything is possible but not necessarily likely. No one can predict the timeframe or the future as is evident by the number of past predictions on this forum which did not come into fruition.
The fact that an S.P. gets to be $100 means that someone had to purchase it at that amount to establish that price. Look at some of the tech stocks over $600. Those numbers certainly do exist and people obviously paid the price to establish it's value at that number. What our management finally decides to negotiate with a major is certainly up in the air depending on resource estimates, metal prices, market/political circumstances, and what the major is willing to acknowledge as a fare price in light of the aforementioned. I think we'll do well but I nor anyone can predict numbers with any certainty. It's fun to speculate...I do it too.... but not to be taken too seriously.
