As stated by coswil, the area players in the end will most likely have to come together as one unit in order for Mcfauld to be developed. Therefore, any good news from anyone will help everyone, and of course also the opposite. To convince serious players(banks, lenders and mining companies) that there is at least 50 million tonnes of ore with at least 1.5% Ni will take a lot of work, effort and time. However, the find of another monster hole on another target will drive the SP significantly. The good news so far is that there is lots of pgm's which make the ore much more valuable. At Norilsk the pgm's basically pay for all the mining and processing costs. However, to recover the pgm's and precious metals the ore needs to be treated in the old fashion way( mill to produce a concentrate, sent to a smelter likely in Sidbury, and then to an advanced refinery). This means that there can be no cheap and small scale 'heap leaching' applied on site.

These things take time and money. Raglan was known for decades before being developed. Voisey's Bay(140 Mt of ore at 1.6% Ni and 0.85% Cu, 0.09% Co but with no pgm's or gold) was purchased by Inco for about 4 billion $(could be off by a bit).

Short term share price variations have absolutely no impact on the 'final' share price. The SP of NOT will either go way up or drop significantly based on what is found at other targets, nothing else but the drill bit will control what eventually happens. You just don't develop ore bodies half way, in the end it becomes either or. In the mean time there may be buying opportunities at dips and I hope to add to my small holding pretty soon. I expect that in early January there will be some profit taking since so many people have made huge money. Some of them would have delayed profit taking to January in order to defer taxes for a year. The market cap of NOT increased by at least 5 times last year so big net money was made.

It would be nice to find out if 'insiders' will sell significant portions of their holdings or not. If not, that is positive news.

Lets hope for positive news in the new year since that will not only help all share holders, but also the economy and employment of the north. Again, be patient and don't let short term variations influence you too much since they are nearly irrelevant. Since we all are investing in NOT for the purpose of making personal money, we all have to do over own DD. Good luck in the new year.
