HSS,

I am always reluctant to share tips with people as what can be a hot stock can turn into a cold one with just one news release. The stocks I invest in are gambles and a lot are based on timing more than anything else. A recent example is NRN where I made money from $1.00 to 1.20, and then bailed out after the news release at .76. It is now at .42. With an average of 1.02 and based on the % of shares I sold and held, I made a quick 10% return. Positive news could have sent it double given what they were up to at the time. Those who did not sell likely lost 50%.

Same with many others. Unless I have you on speed dial, I cannot guarantee that a spec stock I make money on will make the same amount of money for you or even cause a loss. Just ask my father in law. We both bought one stock at .20 last year. We both averaged up to .26. I sold and bough over the year and he held. The stock is .12 today (but still very promising) and his average is .26 and mine is .133. It is all about timing in this market. Not day trading, but what I call week or month trading based on a combination of intuition, luck, and a lot of attention to the boards, research, NRs, and contacing Investor Relations.

I share tips with my coworkers and while I make 50 or 100%, they sometimes hold too long or do not sell fast enough to avoid losing money in the short terms. Noront was a good example when many people I knew bought in at between .80 and .96 cents. I spent the better of 8 months listening to the "thanks for nothing" messages.

I also learned from what I call the ShareWizard effect last year. He would mention a stock and it would go up just based on the fact he mentioned it. Two days later it went down. They were good picks if one waited out a few months (RSG and KTN briefly)

But I will visit the investment idea board that QQGirl emailed me about to see what type of info is being share there and my decide to post.

M1.
