Well its great to hear from you Misfit. Hoping all is well with your new home. Its a very busy time for you and your family being Christmas and a big move. Very tiring I'm sure.
The outlook for stocks looks rather dismal as December moves along. Not much of a chance from most years at this time. Nothing to worry about and it leaves us time to settle in for the holidays. The rumours of great news may be just that .. rumours...but the truth of the matter is this play is proving itself news release by news release. I for one agree that winter/early spring will see another outburst of this play. The next setback after that "may" be after May 2008 (Sell in May and go away syndrome). That isn't even likely if this proves up before then.
One important thing I've noticed over a number of years of investing is each year has its specfic lulls in the market. During these lulls you can do one of two things.....hold for the next push ... or sell and hope you get back in in time for the next push....either way there will be "the next push" up in price. Lets remember that as we enjoy our Christmas holidays. Do not even think for a moment that this stock is dudding out on you the shareholder, especially those who bought in between 6 and 7 dollars. These times are tough on those who have seen close to 50% of their investment in NOT drop off the map. Yes we can sell and buy back in lower (the perfect buy low, sell high profile). Yes if we are good we'll be successful at it. The best scenerio if you are NOT are really savvy investor is to hold and wait for the uptrend to happen, probably in 2008 now. No matter how disappointing the lull is, we have to remember that the market is in a lull as well. As Misfit says, we are sitting at the lowest support level of the next commodity bull run.....how is that for something worth waiting for....I say buy more now if you can. Maybe that was RN's gift..one last chance to get in or accumulate more, knowing the drop was going to happen, but not being able to say it. We never know what the future will bring...but I'm pretty upbeat on this play....and so should all of you be. And newbies.....listen and learn....this is a great play to hear from those who know how these speculative plays pan out. This stock is going up...and it will go up quickly and it will climb up in price a lot....don't get discouraged by the bashers or the fact that you had hoped you would be in to big money by now when you got in higher.
I hope everyone on this board has a very Merry Christmas. We have to remember that to live we must not be on this board 24/7 but rather glance in once in a while just to hear the news. I know its tempting and I know I like to drop by 2 or 3 times a day, but its short and sweet unless something is happening.
One last word...the nature of the board and its outlook on this stock has never changed...its always been positive..even with those who have been deemed as "soft bashers". No matter what your agenda is you have the right to make money..but you should never try to incite panic in those on this board. Likewise there should be noone lighting up the board with overzealous rumblings where they build unrealistic euphoria and a scenerio for those less experienced investors to buy in to NOT at the wrong time, especially if they are doing it just to cover their short position. This board is orderly, concise and for the most part on topic. I would like to congratulate everyone for keeping it from becoming another Stockhouse mess. Lets make a plan for 2008 to work again to bring the positives and negatives to the board based on merit only. There is "never" anything wrong with questioning something that doesn't fit with the overall picture.....and if that is the case I for one want the input before I make any decisions.
Like anything else..."a grain of salt" is what you use when reading these posts. Sometimes you could use a bag of road salt and other times just a pinch...but in any case some will be needed.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Misfit and all the other posters here.
