Fantomas,
I like the way you think!
While it is true that I have been a LONG term goldbug, I must admit to having a soft spot for platinum.
I have wondered why it is that so much discussion has centred on nickel (nice enough, but really nowhere as exciting to me on a personal level as it's highflying cousins) when the PGE's made an early, unexpected, and significant entrance at DE.
The only thing that could make this little find even more tasty, is if Richard stumbles across a few Kimberlite pipes! (There are some in the neighborhood).
Basically, the DE find is like breaking into Tiffany's and NOT having to worry about the alarm systems.
Although I must admit that these fluctuations are a little stomach churning, I never expected anything less. Volatility is the name of this game, and a basic requirement for survival is huge clanging brass balls (no offence Nottie Girl!).
Around my place it sounds like the Bells of St. Marys!
If you really need something to divert your attention from the nonsence in the markets, here's a suggestion...
close you're eyes...no, really, close your eyes....ok open them or you won't be able to read this....now, imagine yourself up in the bog, surrounded by the drills and the amazingly strong, weather hardened, individuals who are up in that nastiness for the long term...imagine yourself seeing all those drill holes....no computers....no stock prices...just the sound of helicopters buzzing overhead...and the exclamations of the workers as the shiny....so very shiny!....cores are brought to the surface....now look around.....can you see the edges of our property?...NOT a chance...it is too large to see the bounderies from the ground...goes on and on for KM's in every direction....
That's what this story is about. Nothing at all to do with the fluctuations of a mindless market.
One man's humble opinion.
My shares are a ticket to a dream...one that is slowly, patiently and methodically becoming a reality.
How about you?
See you at $20.
