Good to know you are reading up on a bit of history and making realistic comparisons to the last past event that in only some ways compares to what appears to be in the mists of happening now and into the short term foreseeable future.
There are differences between the current situation and that of the late 1970's into 1980, however, I believe the general actions to occur by Central Banks and apparently some select major financial institutions on the one hand will be an attempt to resolve recently (since ~1991) created monetary challenges (and followed up with fiscal policy adjustments) and will actually end up preventing tangible's from experiencing either rapid inflation or deflation. The target is likely on the financial aspect of the situation. Thus removing the potential for capital (money) to wreak havoc in uncontrollable and difficult to predict ways.
I am fascinated and watching with great interest, eager to witness how this one unfolds.
We with NOT, I believe will be among the more (if NOT the most) fortunate.

MJ, make good effort to minimize the flack as it does, in the end, diminish both your point(s) and the overall health of the forum.
