NOT..NEWS today, market re/action … Just carefully reviewed the NOT news release…here are my first impressions… Overall, NOT news was excellent details below…a couple of items though…The MARKET is perceiving this news, as not good news, for a number of reasons, including NO halt by NOT…NOT has HALTED on almost all NEWS releases on DE…these HALTS “told” the Markets that the news was “of material importance likely to effect market prices”…the Market seeing no HALT is just assuming the NOT news was not good. .when added. To the dismal performance/sentiment of the commodities equities as per my previous post, even though commodities prices are at “record highs, unless the news was spectacular NOT would trade more or less sideways as it has... I originally believed that this news would eventually effect the market price of NOT upward, so therefore was deserving of a HALT…However on closer reading maybe a HALT was not in order…BUT some type of consistency of NOT News releases conditions should be established… THE FACTS;….HIGHLIGHTS….. Hole # 12 was superb…330 FT of 1.5% Ni, .62% Cu, ¾ Gm PT, 2.5 Gms Pd etc.. Many of you are forgetting that in these types of MMS deposits, it’s the “AVERAGE PERCENTAGE OF THE MINERALISED ZONES” THAT COUNTS… So..some zones will have 6% Ni, etc, and some zones will have 1% or less…so 1.5% Ni is excellent…some Ni miners are mining as low as 0.655 PROFITABLY… REMEMBER !!! Voisey’s Bay had an overall average of 1.7% Ni..the above number of 1.5 % Ni is just 1 hole and does include all the super rich Ni at Eagle…so probably the average will be very close to Voisey’s…BUT the exception is the PGE’s content of D. Eagle…which will make it much more profitable…Those of you who think every hole NOT drills will come up with 6-7% Ni, will be very disappointed if you don’t take into account the overall grade above mentioned…use Voisey’s 1.7% average as a guide… Hole # 17 …this is a new hole…IT IS JUST AS SUPERB AS HOLE # 12…. Assays are pending, but roughly, 280 FT of mineralization, probably similar in grade to hole #12 Hole #18…another new hole…this hole is even more SUPERB then above 2 holes…assays are pending…this hole has about 500FT !!! of mineralization, probably similar to the above 2 holes… DE is described as an area 600 FT strike, 150 Ft wide, open to the south wherein the peridotite widens to about 300 FT…that wider section is now being drilled…also of interest is the set up of an additional drill. And the stockpiling of equipment and provisions for at least 1 month..this is to speed up the drilling etc… The Market needs to see now NOT or any other Area Player find more tonnage to confirm the extension of these deposit, which will add the TONNAGE needed… I think NOT will do so from the current south extension of the widening zone of mineralization…And I’m really hoping BMK finds the motherload to it’s known discovery detailed below.. This NEWS from any area player will send McFaulds back UP to fever pitch excitement/interest… Overall GREAT NEWS FOR NOT!!... GEOLOGY …very brief description/discussion….( without the real technical stuff).. The Voisey's Bay deposit lies partly within a 30-100 m-thick sheet of troctolite, which is interpreted as a flat-lying part of a feeder for an adjacent intrusion, and partly at the base of the intrusion, where the feeder adjoins it. So you can see from voisey’s that DE is wider and some places deeper, the BITG question is ‘STRIKE LEGNTH” number of occurrence to add tonnage… This DE type of MMS deposit that occur in peridotite , is similar, not exact, to the Jinchuan deposit in China…here is a snippet description…….… The Jinchuan deposit of north-central China occurs within a 6 km-long dyke-like body of peridotite. ..these deposits perhaps average close to 1% Ni , and are several hundred Million tons…. So here again this “STRIKE LENGTH “ is 6 Kms.. So its in these “conduits” or Lave feeders that the mineralization is usually found…NOT has stated that these ‘feeders” on their Eagle 1 extend South, and widen to 85 M…So it appears that this body of feeders extend South, the extent of which is not known, and maybe proved up by current drilling…. Perhaps more important for McFaulds, how many of these “FEEDER” types MMS deposits exists at McFaulds…WE know for a FACT, that BMK has found such a FEEDER peridotite in their 100% owned MacNNUGET property, with a drill core of 93FT at about .50% Ni ++etc…so we have good evidence that these peridotite FEEDERS exist some 20Kms away to the West, from NOT’s discovery…SPQ has found a layered Peridotite with PGEs and 24% Chromium 3Km EAST of Not… Importance of Tonnage !!!…. This is why the whole area and area players become so IMPORTANT !!! At this point we do not know the strike extant of NOT’s discovery…In most camps, it’s the TOTAL TONNAGE of the whole area that is taken into account for the MAJORS…. SO those area players with the LARGEST LAND CLAIMS, like NOT< BMK< SPQ Are primed to find hopefully many more of these MMS peridotite FEEDERS in their vast land holdings… |
