Technical Analysis and NOT...

posted on Nov 06, 2007 03:22AM

I agree with the more technically savvy investors that NOT has a couple of ways it can go depending on the quirks in the investment community each day... I think myself that one thing the analytical types have to remember is that NOT at present,  is not a good technical stock simply because of two things:

  1. The management are working to keep the stock market on its toes with respect to moving in and out of NOT.  They keep dropping NR whenever the stock seems to drool a bit..how I don't know...but RN seems to be quite successful at it and does it within all of the requirements of the stock market regulations.
  2. NOT is becoming a 'DARLING OF BAY STREET' so to speak.  How many of these stocks run on technicals, especially in the first 6 months after the big strike occurs?!  I'm willing to ponder "none" or very few.    Once the investment community takes the stock under its wings its very hard for them to let it go and so it continues its ascent.  Of course there are always pull-backs, but to even call them corrections may be erroneous.  I tend to call them "blips" where we never doubt the price will recover and move upward again.
  3. Its very important that we understand that NOT has the goods in more than one location and more locations will be reporting in the next few weeks and months.  Don't be underestimating what NOT has....it will cost you dearly.  Day trading is best left to those who have the savvy trading skills to carry it out..if you don't "just stay long"...meaning "buy, walk away if you must and buy more where the stock dips (these are truly buying dips).

In conclusion:

There is noone on this board, whose posts I have read, (trust me I have read pretty much every single post whether off topic or not) indicate negativity in NOT holdings.  The only thing those who have been accused of "Soft Bashing" have done is point out the obvious...well at least to those who "want" to listen....the stock will adjust...we're ahead of ourselves (not necessarily I say, but a valid point to make and not push too hard) and we "may" fall back for a time (short time I believe was the interpretation I observed).  MJ is in again at 3 to 3.50.  Al thinks it may be that MJ is correct, and so have a few other investors here.  This is not a "pump" or "dump" forum...it is a reality forum and adjustments in the stock price will happen and should be honestly reviewed.

My only consideration...if the stock price goes down..I doubt it was because of technical analysis in any "big" way....more to the sentiment swings of the big investment firms trying to get in and slam this rocket out into space after they have their fingers on the thruster button.  We are NOT going to go down for the count.  Every dip is a "buying" and NOT a "selling" opportunity.  Do not sell on the dips..hold and wait until we move up again.  Its called the volatily of speculative stock trading...and I project the speculation is waning off so expect less volatility forward moving.  This of course means it might get boring as well and that we'll have to deal with at that time.

Anyone have a game of online chess we can play :) <joking..really!!!1
