Just finished a lengthy conversation with a woman taking up a new post with Ministry of Mines and Natural Resources in the Soo . Quite a high powered position I miust add, involved with co-ordination of a master plan for Northern Ontario. This will involve a number of different Ministries from Labour, Education thru Environment.

Looks like a real push to organize development in the North part of the Province and she was well aware of the activity in the James Bay Lowlands.

One thing she mentioned was the necessary road infrastructure and getting winter roads improved and moved off lakes and onto land (Global Warming is causing problems). Hundreds of millions of dollars are going to be going into this area and she mentioned that the Federal Government will be pushed to cough up some of this infrastructure money.

So it looks as if the Provincial Government is already on the bandwagon to contribute to supporting Northern Development and it should help Noront and others.
