As I mentioned in a post from this morning, one of my client's asked me to get some NOT for him. He gave me all his webbroker details and so I placed a trade. It got cancelled by TD.

I placed another trade at market (it was 4.90 at the time). Again, TD declined it. So I phoned them and they couldn't tell me why, but that it was declined. I told them that I was authorized by my client and that I had a TD waterhouse account as well. So they looked into it furthur and suggested that I try the trade again.

Again it didn't work. I called back, waited on hold for 20 minutes and then gave up.

So then I thought, well I'll buy 2000 shares from my own account, get my client to reimburse me and when he wants to sell out, I'll figure out my taxes on the sell, subtract it from the sale, give him his money and we'll be even.

So I bought 2000 at 4.87 and also picked up some BMK at 40 cents. Then I called my client, who's now at the Paris art fair and told him what happened. He said he'd rather have it in his own portfolio, so he wants me to call TD and try again tomorrow.

Oh well, guess I got another 2000 NOT shares, again by mistake (lol). Now I have to cover the balance o/s in my waterhouse account, so I'll rustle up what I can and sell some NOT shares to cover the rest (hopefully no more than a 1000).

Bottom line : I made 68 cents a share on the 2000 I bought today, by mistake and I have more NOT shares, plus a side play....My backwards trading is working ! LOve this NOT ! Fantastic company ! Thank you Mr. Nemis. Thank you Jenny (in case you're reading this), for getting us in almost 10 years ago.

Now if I can only get my client in.......
