That's pretty rotten about them auditing your daughter 3 years in a row, boatboy. Some of my poorer clients have been targeted and I've fought CCRA tooth and nail to keep the client in business. these guys can be ruthless. Knowing that, I attack first, with facts and numbers and put them on the defensive.

And goldfinger, I wish I was an American for that purpose and for Nevada, of course.....We are taxed to death in Canada. In Ontario, we pay 14% on products, 6% on services, as well as gas tax, cigarette tax, tire tax and personal income taxes (there's more, just can't remember them all right now).

Employers have to match employees' Canada pension and Unemployment insurance deductions (X 1.4 for them). As well as paying corporate taxes, workers compensation fees and business taxes.

It's no wonder many Canadians move to the States. To get away from the taxes.

...but I'm still proud to be a Canadian.
