Honestly I do not know what makes investment houses put recommendations on stocks.  Sometimes I think it reverts to them having an interest in the stock themselves.  I'm with Scotia Discount and they have a number of recommendatons..however none on the more speculative plays that I can see (some would call them small cap). 

I'm not even sure if the investment house have lower limits on the price of stocks they recommend.  It's really something I would ask your broker..who of course may know little more than anyone in this forum.  Maybe we could get a more explicit answer for Rule of 72.
