Great Post again MJ. I always wondered what brought about that phrase regarding the express train delivery (great news) and upstream barge (slow) delivery of news releases.
To add some comfort to nervous investors who may be hanging their fingers over the sell buttion, we as investors of NOT or any other stock for that matter should not expect daily or even weekly news releases at all...in fact I have found excess news can have a negative effect on stock price (ie: Pinetree Capital is always releasing news during this time their price begain a significant decline). I for one would prefer news releases that will mean something to the stock holders rather than idle babble (like my posts some days..).
I would prefer to wait a week or two and get the real goods on this site. I, for one would prefer they drill and find the perimeter of this anomoly/deposit. Noone can provide advice for something none of us has any knowledge about. ONE THING IS CERTAIN- If you truly want to gain informative insight (like the OLD Stockhouse forum days) you should be reading the posts on this board. If you want to be a confused, trigger happy, stressed out investor ready to unload your shares at any hint of bad news, through the advice of those who make a profession of providing scare tactics so they can pick up your shares cheaply, then be our guest and visit the Stockhouse Forum. I for one have sold too soon on a couple of plays because of these manipulators. For the record, many of the posters on this site probably used the SH forum prior to the Agoracom board being developed. You will never be able to keep your ship on course if you start moving between this forum and the SH board. You need to know that the investors on this board are here for the long haul. Many of the investors have been in this stock for years. One of them has not been posting lately (Misfit1). I hope Misfit1 is doing well and that he has only avoided posting because of the banterings that have been going on here lately.
Lets all think of this forum as a positive experience when we come here for advice and direction. When I say that we should always know that the direction some give is very well founded, based on extensive investing experience and a seasoned knowledge of the mining business. I for one have found many of the posters to be very informative and yes there have been some misconceptions/allegations that have come up. Perhaps we can now look at this investment in a more balanced light now that some of the news euphoria has drifted away.
May I note also that after Diamond Fields hit the motherlode in 1995 (I think) another mining company did made a hit that sent their stock price from 1.00 to 23.00 overnight. This was based on very vague information and mostly on the euphoria of the investors. The next number of results came back with nothing. The stock dropped back to 2.00 and then faded off the map into oblivion. I for one prefer to have things this way. The price increases based on warranted finds and assay results rather than speculative price escalation where only those in the know (insiders, big MM) can see where the price will be going forward.
Noront has a fine selection of great properties and the best management you could want as an investor. Things aren't quiet for any other reason than we're waiting... that's all. Furthermore, I would say that the only shortcoming I can find is that the maps have not been provided to us as many of the posters have asked for in the past. Lets hope RN will straighten that out soon. Best of luck to all NOT investors. And for the sake of our sanity please start posting again Misfit1. I think I can speak for many here that you posts are the most respected and trusted. I for one hope you are well and that you are well and only taking a hiatus from the board babble :)
GLTA today... this week could be very volatile...hold the wheel and keep you ship on course. I just can't stop feeling that we will all be rewarded for holding onto an awesome play. Don't let impatient drive you out of it...just don't bet your families security on it either.
