No doubt it exists and in big doses, but if the product is a good one, its a good one, and manipulation only works in limited periods of time. So if you have a 'good one' and you hang on to your shares and ignore the noise, you'll do just fine.
Another point is that the warnings are given as if there are #1 The all powerful manipulator and the #2 The ready to be fleeced amateur. But let's not forget , the manipulators are manipulating each other too. There are many camps in this game. Manipulators lose money too (justice) and many funds do in fact do poorly for their investors even with all their training in manipulation.
I know I would be a terrible manipulator, so I just research stocks, buy 'em and hold 'em. NOT is a researcher's dream! So far! I'll just keep researching... and buying on its down days like today. And hope the heck I did my research right!
