If you get a chance,,,check out Platinum Today site,,,lots of good info on PGMs......

The more I think about Double Eagle,,,I think we have a Platinum Mine,,,,not Ni. Those intercepts released are EXCEPTIONAL IMO.

VERY HIGH GRADES of PGMs,,,we had over 30 g/t for 3 meters !!!

Just to give an idea of the grades presently found at Implats(Impala Platinum) mine in South Africa,,,they are around 5 g/t which include credits.

This is from North American Palladium

Notice the narrow width of the mineralization of the 3-D image(click image) and check out the average grades. Also as I mentioned earlier, NAP Lac IIes mine never had any intercepts close to what NOT has had. I checked back to 1999, which only comprised of the newer deep zone being developed now. The point being is that the PGM mineralization of this mine is believed to be formed from a fault. Because of this it's a narrow mineralization.

Stillwater Complex got its start
about 2.7 billion years ago...

That's when geologic forces formed what would become the J-M Reef -- The world's highest - grade known ore body of platinum group metals.

Today, the J-M Reef, stretching underground through 28 miles of southern Montana's Beartooth Mountain Range, is the site where Stillwater Mining Company produces platinum, palladium, and other precious metals.

Discovered in the early 1970's, the 28 mile-long J-M Reef is part of the Stillwater Complex, a layered succession of ultramafic to mafic rocks in the earth's crust. Its uniform layers of mineral concentrations and proximity to the earth's surface make the
J-M Reef a world class ore body for PGM's.
