BK,

I understand that to mean the work on the portal for the ramp and setting-up the ancillary facilties need to handle/support putting in the ramp (e.g. ore storage/dumping, etc.).

If you recall from my "Ramp" post on Shouse way back, procedures/process was outlined for the ramp based on information provided by my father (mmining engineer).

There is more to starting the ramp than just digging... :-).
