#3,4, 6 are not a total loss of money thouth time is a different matter. If there is any showing of alteration, stress breaks, vaining etc. then they may be able to assume they are close (near miss). That helps. Looks like 7 is yet another attempt to fing some direction to the beast (plunge?). With a good indication of direction (with luck by hole9,10,11) then it likely will be well worth having two drills working. If they are asseying #3&4 there must be something in there (minor leakage into weakend coarsed grained granite?) , some interesting little story otherwise why plug up the lab needlessly and cost.
