I can't count the number of times I've heard "don't set stops" or you'll get left in the dust.  I also can't count the number of times I've seen that it would be highly appropriate to set high stops (trailing stop) on a portion of your shares that you would like to play, if you have enough of a balance to call a core position.  As yet I have not done this, however, I plan to use shares that I might consider profit and play the dips.  I find this a rather safe approach to avoid missing the "rockets" and only risking shares that would have been considered profit anyway.
