Hi OldLady,

The core looks great as long as the pyrrotite is Ni rich ( which normally it is not.) but hole #1 assays suggests it is.  

What you see there are basically three different sized grains "squished" together.  The pentlandite (Ni ore) and chalcopyrite (copper ore) look to be the size of marbles and the pyrrhotite (usually not ore) the size of sugars grains .  Look at the third closeup picture although it is hard to distinguish between the pentlandite and the chalco.

These pictures are massive sulphides (meaning basically sulphides make up the entire core) and what you see is at least 27 meters on the table
