Message: AMAZING ART!!!

lake, coincidentally, i just received an ada lawsuit by a lawyer representing a man in a wheelchair who supposedly visited my restaurant. Among 2 other things in the suit was a complaint that there was not an area at the bar to accomodate wheelchairs. I want to ask anyone on this forum if they have ever seen a bar, anywhere, that has an area that accomodates those in wheelchairs. The area must be at least 62 inches wide and not more than 36 inches high. I have at least 5 regular customers in wheelchairs who have been coming to my restaurant for many years and they are served at the bar by our staff. They have all written letters stating they have never been hampered in any way receiving service at my bar. This is a scam by lawyers who seek out handicapped people to collect money from business. The guy suing me lives more than 25 miles away. Chances are he has never been into my business, but he can claim he was. I have to defend. He is not supposed to receive money from a suit, his reward is helping the handicapped. I have already spent 7k in attorney fees. When my restaurant was constructed in 1992, it met all standards for ada requirements.

I agree with accomodations for the handicapped but some are ridiculous. If no one is in the restaurant in a wheelchair, i have 5 feet of wasted bar area. When i see the liberal ad depicting the woman in the wheelchair being thrown off the cliff, this guy comes to mind. I wonder if there is a coincidence between this suit and the fact that this guy owes a ton in back child support, among other things.
