and if you care to go back far enough and connect the dots you will see that this was effectively the transfer of trillions to put people into houses (who could otherwise not afford them) all courtesy of liberal democrat legislation that forced banks to give loans to non-creditworthy customers --- a decision a banker would never make, unless forced to do so by the government.
