A fellow poster from this board asked me once why did I addrress people from the left as "friend". My response was that as polarized as we've become as a country, that if we weren't open to discussion between the the two sides and couldn't be at least civil about it, then how could we ever find some common common ground between us? I felt that it was good to try and be open minded; to try and keep the lines of communication open. I guess a part of me still feels that way. But it's only a part of me at this point...

I guess after a while it starts becoming clear that there are people that you just don't agree with; that you just don't see eye to eye on. And then there are those others who go way beyond that. There are those out there who are not just misguided or wrong, but who are genuinely a threat to you, your loved ones, and your country. After a while it starts becoming clear who truly is your enemy...the enemy within.
