I had thought I had said "AND / OR" since the original post I replied to was referencing more than one party holding the Executive Branch, the Senate OR the House. Fact is Bush (republicans) had control of all three only for the first two years of his presidency

So I take it then you were happy when Bush was President and the Democrats had control of the Senate AND the House for the last 75% of the "oh so dreaded" Bush years?

A more accurate description would be that the GOP held the presidency for 8 years. the Senate for 4 years and the House for 6 years. Yet your argument is that the GOP had no power during that time.
