Which brings me back to my questions about conservatives. Why is it permissible for Christians to lie? How is it possible for the conservative to believe in the Gospels and at the same time disparage and mock the poor?

Are you talking about the poor in other countries that starve to death or are persecuted becasue of their political or religious beliefs? Or the so called poor in this country that get a welfare check every month, food stamps, free housing and medical and can choose to make their life better but prefer the life the have chosen for themselves?
