High School Class of 2010 - Absolutely The Dumbest Ever in America
"Scores Stagnate at High Schools"
By Stephanie Banchero, The Wall Street Journal
"New data show that fewer than 25% of 2010 graduates who took the ACT college-entrance exam possessed the academic skills necessary to pass entry-level courses, despite modest gains in college-readiness among U.S high-school students in the last few years.
"This is very appalling," said Cynthia Schmeiser, ACT's Education Division president and chief operating officer. "It suggests that the core courses they are taking are not sufficient to prepare them for what they will face in college or the work force."

I'm sure a part of this can squarely be blamed on the students and their parents. It doesn't help, however, that their role models are stupid too. The people these teenagers look up to dress like trollops, swear like sailors, fight like wolverines, hump like animals, and in general don't care too much about even their BFFs, let alone the rest of the world. The fact that their attention spans have been severely curtailed by all the technology at their disposal doesn't help either (which begs the question that if these people don't even have enough brains to tie their shoes then how can they operate cell phones?).
Sports heroes? Too much tarnish between bad behavior (LeGarrette Blount for example), performance-enhancing drugs, and a focus more on money than on the game.
Elected leaders? They're the very pinnacle of stupid.
Even in our boardrooms stupidity runs rampant...and they get rewarded for it with bailouts, bonuses, and little accountability. comment:mine(who does this remind you of?)
I hope Ron White is wrong, because there's a lot of stupid that needs to be fixed.
