Sedley, you are correct about that, but the bit of support that they offer only emphasizes the "one step forward, two steps backward" strategy.

The ACLU even defended George Wallace briefly.

If you really research the ACLU, you will find that Roger Baldwin, the founder, was no friend of our Constitutional Republic.
