There was a debate on FOX regarding the similarity of the AZ law and the internment of the Japanese during WWII.
None of those young people were aware that when the Japanese were put into the equivalent of concentration camps, the US gov't took their land because the taxes weren't paid. This was done by the much touted FDR, who in the opinion of my dad and now in my opinion was one of the worst presidents America had ever seen until that time.
The public was bamboozled in those days to somehow believe that these Japanese were "dangerous", even though many of them had been here for years and were a very productive, patriotic people.
There are many legal Mexican immigrants in America and they should be applauded and welcomed, but to have the illegal aliens claim that they are somehow comparable to the poor Japanese, who had accumulated land that was stolen, is ludicrous. Incidentally, that land is now downtown LA.
Government is to be watched, not trusted!
