The attachment below will lead you to an abc story about how much is being spent on signs touting Obama and stimulus funds. It is amazing how much it cost under the stimulus programs to create one job or a dozen. Each one under this program no matter where in the country it is seems to cost six plus figures annually. Now we all know that is not going to the workers so where does the excess go. Even if most of the jobs are high cost union jobs the excess is falling into someones pocket.

So please go over the attachment but just to show all the excess cost is not the fault of Obama and his stimulus program I would like to tell you all about a pedestrian bridge being built here in San Diego. Not with fed funds but with funds from our city that is broke because of unbelievable pension plans and with funds demanded from developers.

Across a four lane road that is called Harbor Drive at the east south end of our Convention Center and across from the CC one will find Petco the home of our National league west leading Padres. So traffic disruption from a parking lot to the ball park (remember that is only 83 home games plus playoff and world series games with a payroll of $35 million) which is actually just under a total of three months (not continuous).

So what am I getting at ..... the city is spending on a PEDESTRIAN ONLY BRIDGE. Thats right this bridge built mainly with local govt funds or funds mandated from local govt for foot traffic only is costing a LARGE fortune. The city says it is coming from redevelopment funds (another way to say taxes) so what is the big deal. Think about it folks how dumb are our leaders is they can spend that much money on a pedestrian bridge when we cannot fix potholes in our streets. I could go on about how fiscally incompetent our leaders are but that should wait for another day.
