You are right about the double standards from those who want to see this guy punished but not the illegals. These double standards are all well and good until the problems that arise from law breaking affect those who use these double standards.
If you (not you personally) were for O's health care fine, but don't complain when costs go up, or you have a hard time getting in to see a DR. or have a procedure done.
Those for gun control, don't complain when someone breaks into your home at night with a weapon and all you have is your pillow to defend your family.
Those in favor of the stimulus and bailouts, don't complain when the costs of taxes, goods and services go out of sight.
etc., etc.
Common sense has been lost in our good ol' US of A. Political correctness has replaced it. Just like the PC about the means used to stop the guy in Philly, or the PC of those in Phoenix cheerleading for the illegals with "Los Suns" Jerseys (why weren't they grammatically correct and use "Los SOL"). These same people would be the first to scream if the guy in Philly jumped into the stands, in his effort to get away, and broke their neck, or an illegal harmed or killed one of their family members. Then it's a different story. It becomes the whinning about why the police were not there to protect them from these people breaking the law.
It's late, I'm tired and I am rambling but I agree with you. If we have laws we should enforce them until those laws are changed, no matter how we may personally feel about them. Once we look the other way from the rule of law we are doomed as a free society.
