Gee, I thought every person's life was worth the same. The life of a rich person is worth the same as that of a poor person. And the cost of defending any life is the same from one American to the next. Thus, should not each person pay one flat amount for their defense --- say $1,000 a year per person, to the Feds for 'national defense'.

Could there be anything more fair?
