Jldmt... Ended up going with Malarkey 50 yrs... algea/moss resistant, better wind rating, and they were less expensive than the Landmark 40s

Olympic Park hike... for anyone was interested in a straight forward, very representative hike/backpack of the OP, I would highly suggest the High Divide Loop.. an ~19 mile trek.. only moderately strenuous. It rewards with dramatic views of Mt Olympus all along the High Divide Ridge

Personally, I would combine this with a night or two on the Coastal Beaches.. either Shi Shi or Second Beach.. http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/north-shi-shi-access
