Thanks for the kind words.... I think? In reality the Chargers were not ready to play against a team as good as the Steelers. They had no offensive line and they had no pass rush.... Their secondary as it has been most of the year allowed all those third down completions, which also happened all year. Rivers was running for his life most of the time and the difference in watching him and Ben was amazzing as Ben sat back there and read the Sunday paper waiting for an open receiver. Sproles is a terrific return man and spot back but yesterday showed that he does not have the power to play every down of every game especially if the line does not open holes. Also he does not need a head coach who sends him up the middle time after time.

Personally I think that LT would be happy to be traded to a team with a good head coach and a real shot at making the SB. He already has the stats to make the Hall and the only thing he does not have is a ring and with Turner and AJ around that might never happen. I am not one of those that believe the lack of Merriman is what caused our demise. First one man does not make a team unless it is a quarterback that is not backed up by a Cassel type of backup and second Merriman might not come back as good as he was plus he is in the last year of his contract. It also was reported today that LT is thinking of forgoing an operation for rehab. I do not understand these guys .... get the operation done instead of waiting until the start of the season to decide that they need the operation as that is what happened to Merriman.

As I said I am a Steeler fan but I was disappointed by a few of the things that occurred during the game...... Tomlin I thought called a pretty unsportsmanlike game..... I was told by some folks that were there that the fans during the game were more like Philly fans then Pittsburgh fans as they were giving the finger to anybody and everybody and apparently this was a stadium wide thing.

Oh well now I get to prepare for the Padres who in their cheap wisdom have let Trevor go to the Brewers (because the owner would not talk to him over the telephone) and they want to get rid of Peavey and they are selling the team etc etc etc.....

Well what can I say other then the temp yesterday during game time was 80 degrees here in San Diego.
