"Our Founding Fathers knew what they were creating and we have ignored all their warnings."
Our Founding Fathers created for us, a Constitution that governed the government, not the people. That was the first time in history that such a document was written. As such, a democratic republic was created, and the words of Benjamin Franklin (in responsse to a woman who asked him "What have you given us?") were "Madam, we have given you a republic, if you can keep it."
George Washington warned us that we should not become involved in foreign entanglements. John Adams's view was "Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can estabish the Pinciples upon which Freedom can securely stand." "Our Constitution was ,made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
Perhaps this will give you a clue as to how extreme our society can be.
In regard to my statement about the Black Panthers (you forgot to post part of it), that was an indication of the audacity and hypocricy of that group proclaiming to be "security" at the polling places. Just for drill, suppose that it had been the KKK that showed up as security. I would have been equally outraged at that.
