No, it's not because they are foreigners. It's because of their track record and their voting record. Other than some very well meant, but inefficeintly ran humanitarion efforts; The U.N. as a goverment body is ineffective and worthless. And that's based on the results that it achieves, (or lack thereof), that they achieve as a world body. IMO, it's based purely on their total lack of results.

A hypothetical example of the U.N. in action: A country commits ethnic cleansing on it's own population. What does the U.N. do? After weeks and weeks, or months of internal infighting and negotiating, they vote to write a letter of condemnation to said offensive country. Months later as the killing continues, and much infighting at the U.N., they again vote to write an even harsher letter of condemnation. This pattern goes on for months, or years. Eventually after much infighting, they vote to boycott toilet paper to said country to punish them. Oooohh, so forceful!

The U.S. pays the majority to fund the U.N. The vast majority of the U.N. consistently votes against the U.S. on basically everything. The U.N. mismanages and squanders billions of dollars a year.

Whenever there has been a major world crisis, when was the last time that either France, Germany, or dare I say Canada, stepped up and said, "Don't worry about it U.S., you just sit this one out, we'll take care of it". It's never happened, and never will. Anytime the U.N. has ever accomplished anything of significant meaning, it's because the U.S. pushed for it and made it happen. Without the U.S., the U.N. wouldn't exist. And even with us funding the majority and pushing to make things better in the world; even then it's practically worthless.

I'm sure others around the world feel differently, but speaking as an American who see's billions of our dollars being thrown away every year to a corrupt, ineffecient, practically worthless organization, that basically doesn't do squat for us; yep, you're right, I have no use for them.
