I understand that we sit on the largest oil soaked coal reserve in the world in the western part of the US that has more potential energy than all of the oil in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran combined. Yet it sits there while we send our money to the middle east. Why? When our economy is so dependent on energy do we not tap into this natural recourse and get us off of foreign oil.

A tree buyer showed up at my place today and he had an invention him and another guy came up with that produced Hydrogen that entered just before the air cleaner to improve the efficiency of his diesel truck in burning diesel he said that he improved his mileage by a third. The invention looked like a 14 inch long by 4 inch diameter ABS pipe, capped off on each end. Inside he said were stainless steel plates about an 1/8 inch apart. wired positive and negative charged. Inside he put a mixture of lye and water. When running you could see bubbles of hydrogen move up a clear hose and enter into the air intake hose just before the air cleaner. He said the diesel burns so efficient that you can place a rag over the exhaust for a few minutes and then remove it and smell no diesel. He said there was a problem in some states as they had minimum emission requirements as well as maximum and his truck was too efficient below the minimum emissions requirements. He said they were going to add another canister to increase the hydrogen and expected to double his fuel mileage and have very little if no diesel emissions. He said they were going to build a larger unit to put on diesel semi trucks. I have to believe that there are many very good ideas out there that need to get the attention of the Auto and truck makers to improve efficiency and mileage. Why can't we get practical ideas like this in Detroit?
