The "On Strike" picture reminds me of another sad but true story. When I was a kid, one of my great uncles was asked by President Carter to help solve the automobile trade deficit between the USA and Japan. Carter, being a Democrat..heh heh heh...asked my Uncle to help because for years he ran the Railroad Union here in the states, and Carter had a "brilliant" idea. Rather than improve performance and lower cost here in the USA to compete, Carter figured he could unionize the Japanese Auto workforce therefore raising costs and lowering performance in Japan so they could no longer compete. To make a long story short...my uncle spent 18 months in Japan, and the best he could do was to get the Japanese auto-workers to take 10 minutes during their lunch break...organize outside the building, and shake their fists in definace at management as they watched from the building office windows. Evidently that was a huge deal...however, did nothing for the trade deficit. LOL
