We're not that far apart in our opinions on this subject. I agree, it's mostly about being "nice" and not having "bad manners" in our discussions with each other, but our small community is made up of people from a variety of different backgrounds (countries), and sometimes differing views of what is 'nice' or 'bad mannered'.

So, I believe that we need a few basic rules that will cover obvious disrespect and insults, which are usually universally understood.

Nobody likes too many rules, but most people don't like rudeness either... the kind that makes you wince or say, "Ouch!" :-)

I don't think your questions have offended anyone. You said that you're just trying to get people to think, and that's always a good thing.

By the way, thank you for your jokes. We need to laugh. It has been a long, long wait. But I heard that all good things come to those who wait ...so, we should be seeing a lot of good things very soon. Hopefully. :-)
